Terms of Use

DRAFT — this text is a working draft prepared for review by Teach for Uzbekistan’s legal counsel and has not yet been formally adopted.
1. What this portal is
The TFU Admissions Portal is the official channel for applying to the Teach for Uzbekistan Fellowship, operated by the NGO “Teach for Uzbekistan”. By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account and your application
Keep your credentials safe; actions under your account are yours. One account and one application per person per admission round.
Everything you submit must be accurate, complete, and your own work. You confirm this explicitly before submitting; false information, forged documents, or undisclosed AI-written essays are grounds for rejection at any stage, including after acceptance.
3. What we promise and what we don’t
We review every complete application and notify you of decisions through the portal and your chosen channels. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, an interview, or any particular timeline; the selection decision is TFU’s alone.
The portal is provided “as is”: we work to keep it available and correct, but we are not liable for temporary outages, delivery failures of third-party channels (email, Telegram), or losses caused by inaccurate information you provided.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other people’s data, disrupt the service, upload malicious files, submit applications on someone else’s behalf, or use portal content (including questions and materials) commercially without TFU’s permission.
5. Termination, changes, law
You may delete your account at any time (on your dashboard). TFU may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page with its date, and material changes will be announced in the portal.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan; disputes are resolved by its competent courts. Contact: info@teachforuzbekistan.org.
6. Participation requirements and honest disclosure
The Fellowship has essential requirements: full-time availability for the entire two-year program, completion of the mandatory Summer Institute, and teaching in the assigned placement region. In your application you declare whether you can participate fully and disclose any circumstance known to you that may prevent full participation or require you to leave or pause the program.
TFU may decline an application or withdraw an offer where a candidate cannot meet these essential requirements, or where material circumstances were knowingly concealed. Selection decisions are never based on a protected characteristic as such — including gender, marital or family status, disability, or health condition — but only on the program’s essential requirements, and TFU provides reasonable accommodations wherever possible.
A rejection or waitlist decision can be appealed once in the portal within 14 days; the appeal is reviewed by the Head of Recruitment and Selection in line with TFU’s grievance procedure.
