Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to apply to Teach for Uzbekistan — including people who use a screen reader, only a keyboard, screen magnification or other assistive technology. This page explains how the portal supports you and how to tell us if something does not work.

What the portal supports

  • Four languages — Uzbek, Karakalpak, Russian and English. Switch at any time from the top bar; your choice is remembered and is also used for your emails and Telegram messages.
  • Full keyboard use with a visible focus outline, and a “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
  • Screen-reader friendly forms: every field has a label, hints and error messages are read out together with the field, and the current step is announced.
  • The accessibility panel (the person icon in the top bar): two larger text sizes, high contrast, dark mode, underlined links, easier-reading spacing, a stronger keyboard focus and reduced motion. Your choices are saved on your device.
  • Works on phones and tablets, with large tap targets and a bottom navigation bar on small screens.
  • Your answers are saved automatically, so you can take breaks and continue later without losing anything.

Support during selection

If you need adjustments for the interview or the Assessment Center — for example extra time, a sign-language interpreter or step-free access — tell us in the optional “Support and accommodations” section of the application, or write to us. This information is confidential and used only to support you.

Known limitations

  • The Karakalpak translation is new. If a phrase is unclear, please tell us and we will improve it.
  • Documents you upload (for example scanned PDFs) may not be readable by screen readers. This does not affect your application.

Tell us about a problem

If something is hard to use, write to the team through Support or email admission@teachforuzbekistan.org. Describe the page and what happened — we will get back to you as soon as we can.
